Taipei health authoritiesrandomly tested 20 types of commercially available duck blood and found that each contained chicken blood. The news has caught some lovers of spicy hot pot and duck blood soup by surprise. But restaurants claim it’s not unusual for the two to be mixed and say that pure chicken’s blood is actually more expensive.
北市衛生局，最近抽驗20件市售散裝鴨血，發現全驗出雞的基因。因為家禽屠宰場一般都無法分離雞、鴨、鵝血，所以工廠只能收集混合的禽血製成產品，包括知名的鼎王、小蒙牛等火鍋業者全都有使用！不過很少有純正的雞血料理，是因為雞的血量比鴨少很多，加上單純雞血量少、凝固快、取得不易、價格也相對高。
This tender chicken blood is boiled for 30 seconds then transferred to a wok and stir-fried over high heat.
滑嫩又咕溜的雞血，經過熱水汆燙30秒，再放進熱鍋，大火快炒。
The cook adds black fungus, hot pepper, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. The dish is thickened with cornstarch then poured into a ceramic chafing pot and served. It takes less than three minutes to make.
師傅用黑木耳，辣椒，薑，和蒜苗，醬油來調味，再以太白粉勾芡，盛入陶鍋，這道"木耳炒雞血"，不用3分鐘，就能快速上桌。

Very few restaurants in Taiwan have dishes described as chicken blood. It’s more common to see pig blood and duck blood in local cooking, though chicken blood has the best consistency and the highest price.
其實全台有做"雞血"料理的餐廳少之又少，市面上最常看到的，還是豬血跟鴨血的料理。不過跟豬血和鴨血比起來，純的雞血最稀有，但口感滑嫩，價格也最貴。

The child at the center of an international custody dispute decade ago, Iruan Wu, completed a 17-day visit to Taiwan. He bid a tearful farewell and boarded a flight back to Brazil this evening.
曾因父母雙方家族爭奪監護權而受到矚目的台巴混血兒吳憶樺，結束17天返台探親行程，今天搭機返回巴西，離開時兩度下跪向叔叔吳火眼拜別。
Iruan Wu’s visit to Taiwan concluded today. Before boarding a flight taking him back to Brazil, he twice kneeled in the direct of his uncle Wu Huo-yen, expressing his reluctance to leave.
結束探親行程，吳憶樺晚間搭機返回巴西，臨去前，他在機場兩度下跪向叔叔吳火眼拜別，場面離情依依。

At 10 am, trains across Taiwan sounded their whistles in unison to pay respect to a fallen conductor. Two years ago today, the train Tsai Chung-hui 蔡崇輝 was driving slammed into a dump truck illegally using a railway crossing. Rather than flee the front cab, Tsai remained to sound his whistle. In the process, he helped protect the 300 people on board.
太魯閣號駕駛蔡崇輝2年前捨身救人全力煞車，保住車上300多名旅客性命，考試院銓敘部原先認定他是「逃生不及」，昨天更改認定，認為蔡崇輝符合「冒險犯難」最高撫恤要件，今天上午10點台鐵全線列車同步鳴笛，悼念他的勇敢行為。
This is the scene at a train depot in Changhua at 10 am. In unison, the trains sound their whistles for the late conductor Tsai Chung-hui. His widow, Wang Li-chuan, bowed to thank everyone for their support.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Civil Service overturned a previous finding and ruled that Tsai died while risking his life to maintain his post. After two years, Tsai’s wife finally gained closure.
前一天，銓敘部大翻盤，重新認定蔡崇輝的確'冒險犯難殉職'，讓兩年來要爭取丈夫是堅守崗位的王麗娟很欣慰。

In January 2012, Tsai died when the train he was driving crashed into a dump truck that was illegally using a railway crossing. The ministry originally decided that Tsai tried to flee the conductor’s cab, but didn’t have time. Last week, Taiwan Railways issued another report that said Tsai was facing forward when killed and that he had not tried to flee the cab. That meant he stayed in the cab to sound the whistle, apparently in the hope that it would alert the truck driver to move his vehicle. The legal implications of Tsai holding firm to his post, in spite of the danger, meant that his widow qualified for additional compensation, a decision that pleased Tsai’s fellow workers.
蔡崇輝前年1月撞上闖平交道的砂石車因公殉職，銓敘部一度認定，他是來不及逃跑，直到上星期，台鐵再度提出新報告，證明蔡崇輝，是正面撞擊致死，而非轉身逃跑。當時蔡崇輝留在駕駛室鳴笛，顯然是要警告砂石車司機移動他的車，即使情況危險仍堅守崗位，這也讓遺孀獲得額外的補償。銓敘部的這項決定讓蔡崇輝的同事們相當高興。

Law enforcement agencies fear that new surveillance restrictions will pose a major threat to future investigations. Today they expressed their concerns while urging lawmakers to reconsider the amendment that would introduce the restrictions.
立法院修正「通訊保障監察法」，增加了一人一票、監聽僅限三年以上刑責的重案，這些偵辦限制，引起國內執法人員反彈，檢警調高層今天一同出面，批評新法對他們打擊犯罪綁手綁腳，絕非百姓之福。

The amendment would place new limits on the use of surveillance. Prosecutors would only be able to wiretap a suspect’s phone after registering a case against him. A single warrant would only be valid for gathering evidence against one person. Evidence gathered must be related to the purpose outlined in the warrant application. And there is a specific restriction against using evidence for political purposes.
跟舊法相比，監聽條件變嚴了，只有檢方立案的被告，才能夠掛線監聽，原本監聽票允許一人多案或多案一人，修法後改為一人一票，多人犯罪必須聲請多張，監聽內容禁止另作他用或政治偵防。
