16:1 [hb5] 耶穌又對門徒說、有一個財主的管家.別人向他主人告他浪費主人的財物。
      [lb5] 耶穌也對門徒說︰「一個財主有一個管家﹔有人向他進讒言,說這個人揮霍主人的資財。
      [nb5] 耶穌又對門徒說:“有一個財主的管家,有人在他主人面前告他浪費主人的財物。
      [asv] And he said also unto the disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he was wasting his goods.
      [kjv] And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
      [bbe] And another time he said to the disciples, There was a certain man of great wealth who had a servant; and it was said to him that this servant was wasting his goods.
  16:2 [hb5] 主人叫他來、對他說、我聽見你這事怎麼樣呢.把你所經管的交代明白。因你不能再作我的管家。
      [lb5] 主人就叫管家來,對他說︰『我所聽見關于你的這件事、怎么樣阿?把你的管家職事交代明白吧﹔你不能再作管家了。』
      [nb5] 主人把他叫來,對他說:‘我聽見關於你的是怎麼一回事呢?把你管理的帳目交代清楚,因為你不能再作管家了。’
      [asv] And he called him, and said unto him, What is this that I hear of thee? render the account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward.
      [kjv] And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
      [bbe] And he sent for him and said, What is this which is said about you? give me an account of all you have done, for you will no longer be the manager of my property.
  16:3 [hb5] 那管家心裏說、主人辭我、不用我再作管家、我將來作甚麼.鋤地呢、無力.討飯呢、怕羞。
      [lb5] 那管家心里說︰『我主人要把管家職事給我撒了,我要作什么?鋤地呢、無力﹔叫化呢,怕羞!
      [nb5] 那管家心裡說:‘主人不要我再作管家了,我作甚麼才好呢?鋤地吧,沒有力氣!討飯吧,怕羞!
      [asv] And the steward said within himself, What shall I do, seeing that my lord taketh away the stewardship from me? I have not strength to dig; to beg I am ashamed.
      [kjv] Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
      [bbe] And the servant said to himself, What am I to do now that my lord takes away my position? I have not enough strength for working in the fields, and I would be shamed if I made requests for money from people in the streets.
  16:4 [hb5] 我知道怎麼行、好叫人在我不作管家之後、接我到他們家裏去。
      [lb5] 我知道要怎么作了,好叫人們、在我被黜了管家職事以后、可以接納我到他們家里去。』
      [nb5] 我知道要怎麼作了,好使人在我離開管家的職務以後,接我到他們家裡去。’
      [asv] I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
      [kjv] I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
      [bbe] I have come to a decision what to do, so that when I am put out of my position they will take me into their houses.
  16:5 [hb5] 於是把欠他主人債的、一個一個的叫了來、問頭一個說、你欠我主人多少.
      [lb5] 于是把他主人的每一個欠債的叫來,對頭一個說︰『你欠我主人多少?』
      [nb5] 於是把欠他主人債的人,一個一個地叫來,問頭一個說:‘你欠我主人多少?’
      [asv] And calling to him each one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
      [kjv] So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
      [bbe] And sending for every one who was in debt to his lord he said to the first, What is the amount of your debt to my lord?
  16:6 [hb5] 他說、一百簍油.〔每簍約五十斤〕管家說、拿你的帳快坐下寫五十。
      [lb5] 他說︰『一百簍(希臘文︰『罷特』﹔約等于三十六點三七公升)油。』他對他說︰『把你的帳單接過去,趕快坐下去寫五十。』
      [nb5] 他說:‘四千公升油。’管家說:‘拿你的欠單去,快坐下寫二千。’
      [asv] And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bond, and sit down quickly and write fifty.
      [kjv] And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
      [bbe] And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said, Take your account straight away and put down fifty.
  16:7 [hb5] 又問一個說、你欠多少.他說、一百石麥子.管家說、拿你的帳寫八十。
      [lb5] 然后對另一個說︰『你、欠多少?』他說︰『一百石(希臘文︰『柯珥』,即是『賀梅珥』﹔約等于三十六點三七公升)麥子。』他對他說︰『把你的帳單接過去,寫八十。』
      [nb5] 又問一個說:‘你欠多少?’他說:‘四萬公升麥子。’管家說:‘拿你的欠單去,寫三萬。’
      [asv] Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. He saith unto him, Take thy bond, and write fourscore.
      [kjv] Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
      [bbe] Then he said to another, What is the amount of your debt? And he said, A hundred measures of grain. And he said to him, Take your account and put down eighty.
  16:8 [hb5] 主人就誇獎這不義的管家作事聰明.因為今世之子、在世事之上、較比光明之子、更加聰明。
      [lb5] 主人就稱贊這不義的管家作事精明。因為對付自己的世代,今世之子竟比亮光之子更精明了。
      [nb5] 主人就誇獎這不義的管家作事機警;因為在應付自己的世事上,今世之子比光明之子更精明。
      [asv] And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.
      [kjv] And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
      [bbe] And his lord was pleased with the false servant, because he had been wise; for the sons of this world are wiser in relation to their generation than the sons of light.
  16:9 [hb5] 我又告訴你們、要藉著那不義的錢財、結交朋友.到了錢財無用的時候、他們可以接你們到永存的帳幕裏去。
      [lb5] 我告訴你們,要用不義的錢財結交朋友,到了錢財無用的時候,你們便可以被接納到永世的帳幕里去。
      [nb5] 我告訴你們,要用不義的錢財去結交朋友,好叫錢財無用的時候,他們可以接你們到永恆的帳棚裡。
      [asv] And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends by means of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when it shall fail, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles.
      [kjv] And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
      [bbe] And I say to you, Make friends for yourselves through the wealth of this life, so that when it comes to an end, you may be taken into the eternal resting-places.
  16:10 [hb5] 人在最小的事上忠心、在大事上也忠心.在最小的事上不義、在大事上也不義。
      [lb5] 在最小的上頭可靠的,在多的上頭也必可靠﹔在最小的上頭不義的,在多的上頭也必不義。
      [nb5] 在最小的事上忠心的,在大事上也忠心;在最小的事上不義的,在大事上也不義。
      [asv] He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much.
      [kjv] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
      [bbe] He who is true in a little, is true in much; he who is false in small things, is false in great.
  16:11 [hb5] 倘若你們在不義的錢財上不忠心、誰還把那真實的錢財託付你們呢。
      [lb5] 所以你們若在不義的財錢上顯為不可靠,誰還把那真的信托你們呢?
      [nb5] 如果你們在不義的錢財上不忠心,誰還把真實的錢財託付給你們呢?
      [asv] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?
      [kjv] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
      [bbe] If, then, you have not been true in your use of the wealth of this life, who will give into your care the true wealth?
  16:12 [hb5] 倘若你們在別人的東西上不忠心、誰還把你們自己的東西給你們呢。
      [lb5] 你們若在別人的事物上顯為不可靠,誰還把你們自己的給你們呢?
      [nb5] 如果你們在別人的東西上不忠心,誰還把你們自己的東西交給你們呢?
      [asv] And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?
      [kjv] And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
      [bbe] And if you have not been true in your care of the property of other people, who will give you that which is yours?
  16:13 [hb5] 一個僕人不能事奉兩個主.不是惡這個愛那個、就是重這個輕那個.你們不能又事奉 神、又事奉瑪門。
      [lb5] 一個家仆不能做兩個主的仆人,因為他不是會厭惡這一個而愛那一個,就是會依付這一個而不顧那一個。你們不能又做上帝的仆人,又做錢財的仆人。」
      [nb5] “一個家僕不能服事兩個主人;他若不是恨這個愛那個,就是忠於這個輕視那個。你們不能服事 神,又服事金錢。”
      [asv] No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
      [kjv] No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
      [bbe] No man may be a servant to two masters: for he will have hate for the one and love for the other; or he will keep to the one and have no respect for the other. You may not be servants of God and of wealth.
  16:14 [hb5] 法利賽人是貪愛錢財的、他們聽見這一切話、就嗤笑耶穌。
      [lb5] 法利賽人是貪愛錢財的﹔他們聽見這一切話,就嗤笑耶穌。
      [nb5] 貪財的法利賽人聽見這些話,就嗤笑耶穌。
      [asv] And the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things; and they scoffed at him.
      [kjv] And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
      [bbe] And the Pharisees, who had a great love of money, hearing these things, were making sport of him.
  16:15 [hb5] 耶穌對他們說、你們是在人面前自稱為義的.你們的心、 神卻知道.因為人所尊貴的是 神看為可憎惡的。
      [lb5] 耶穌對他們說︰「你們在人面前自以為義,上帝卻知道你們的心︰因為在人中間高貴的、在上帝面前卻是可憎。
      [nb5] 耶穌對他們說:“你們在人面前自稱為義, 神卻知道你們的心;因為人所高舉的, 神卻看作是可憎惡的。
      [asv] And he said unto them, Ye are they that justify yourselves in the sight of men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
      [kjv] And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
      [bbe] And he said, You take care to seem right in the eyes of men, but God sees your hearts: and those things which are important in the opinion of men, are evil in the eyes of God.
  16:16 [hb5] 律法和先知、到約翰為止.從此 神國的福音傳開了、人人努力要進去。
      [lb5] 「律法和神言人到約翰為止﹔從此上帝國的福音就傳開了,人人用力擠著要進入。
      [nb5] 律法和先知到約翰就結束了。從此, 神的國的福音就傳開了,人人都要努力進去。
      [asv] The law and the prophets [were] until John: from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.
      [kjv] The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
      [bbe] The law and the prophets were till John: but then came the preaching of the kingdom of God, and everyone makes his way into it by force.
  16:17 [hb5] 天地廢去、較比律法的一點一畫落空還容易。
      [lb5] 然而天地之過去,比律法一鉤之廢墮還容易呢!
      [nb5] 天地過去,要比律法的一點一畫失效還容易呢。
      [asv] But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tittle of the law to fall.
      [kjv] And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
      [bbe] But heaven and earth will come to an end before the smallest letter of the law may be dropped out.
  16:18 [hb5] 凡休妻另娶的、就是犯姦淫.娶被休之妻的、也是犯姦淫。
      [lb5] 「凡離棄妻子、同別人結婚的、是犯奸淫﹔同男人所離棄的人結婚的、也是犯奸淫。
      [nb5] 凡休妻另娶的,就犯了姦淫;娶被丈夫所休的,也是犯了姦淫。
      [asv] Every one that putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth one that is put away from a husband committeth adultery.
      [kjv] Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
      [bbe] Everyone who puts away his wife and takes another, is a false husband: and he who is married to a woman whose husband has put her away, is no true husband to her.
  16:19 [hb5] 有一個財主、穿著紫色袍和細麻布衣服、天天奢華宴樂。
      [lb5] 「有一個財主素常穿著紫色袍和細麻布衣服,天天奢華宴樂。
      [nb5] “有一個財主,身穿紫色袍和細麻衣,天天奢華宴樂。
      [asv] Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day:
      [kjv] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
      [bbe] Now there was a certain man of great wealth, who was dressed in fair clothing of purple and delicate linen, and was shining and glad every day.
  16:20 [hb5] 又有一個討飯的、名叫拉撒路、渾身生瘡、被人放在財主門口、
      [lb5] 又有一個討飯的名叫拉撒路,躺在他的大門口,生著瘡﹔
      [nb5] 又有一個乞丐,名叫拉撒路,滿身是瘡,被人放在財主門口,
      [asv] and a certain beggar named Lazarus was laid at his gate, full of sores,
      [kjv] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
      [bbe] And a certain poor man, named Lazarus, was stretched out at his door, full of wounds,
  16:21 [hb5] 要得財主桌子上掉下來的零碎充饑.並且狗來餂他的瘡。
      [lb5] 巴不得從財主桌子上掉下來的東西以得吃飽。不但如此,連狗還來才他的瘡呢!
      [nb5] 想得財主桌子上掉下來的零碎充飢;並且有狗來舔他的瘡。
      [asv] and desiring to be fed with the [crumbs] that fell from the rich man's table; yea, even the dogs come and licked his sores.
      [kjv] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
      [bbe] Desiring the broken bits of food which came from the table of the man of wealth; and even the dogs came and put their tongues on his wounds.
  16:22 [hb5] 後來那討飯的死了、被天使帶去放在亞伯拉罕的懷裏.財主也死了、並且埋葬了。
      [lb5] 那討飯的死了﹔他被天使帶走,到亞伯拉罕懷里。那財主也死了,并且埋葬了。
      [nb5] 後來乞丐死了,被天使送到亞伯拉罕的懷裡。那財主也死了,並且埋葬了
      [asv] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and that he was carried away by the angels into Abraham's bosom: and the rich man also died, and was buried.
      [kjv] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
      [bbe] And in time the poor man came to his end, and angels took him to Abraham's breast. And the man of wealth came to his end, and was put in the earth.
  16:23 [hb5] 他在陰間受痛苦、舉目遠遠的望見亞伯拉罕、又望見拉撒路在他懷裏.
      [lb5] 他在陰間、一直在痛苦中﹔一舉目竟望見亞伯拉罕在遠處,拉撒路在亞伯拉罕懷里呢。
      [nb5] 財主在陰間受痛苦,舉目遠遠望見亞伯拉罕,和他懷裡的拉撒路,
      [asv] And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
      [kjv] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
      [bbe] And in hell, being in great pain, lifting up his eyes he saw Abraham, far away, and Lazarus on his breast.
  16:24 [hb5] 就喊著說、我祖亞伯拉罕哪、可憐我吧、打發拉撒路來、用指頭尖蘸點水、涼涼我的舌頭.因為我在這火焰裏、極其痛苦。
      [lb5] 他就呼喊說︰『我祖亞伯拉罕哪,憐恤我吧!打發拉撒路用指頭尖兒蘸水涼涼我的舌頭吧﹔因為我在這火焰中、極其慘苦阿。』
      [nb5] 就喊著說:‘我祖亞伯拉罕啊,可憐我吧!打發拉撒路來用指頭蘸點水,涼涼我的舌頭吧!因為我在這火燄裡非常痛苦。’
      [asv] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.
      [kjv] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
      [bbe] And he gave a cry and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may put the end of his finger in water and put it on my tongue, for I am cruelly burning in this flame.
  16:25 [hb5] 亞伯拉罕說、兒阿、你該回想你生前享過福、拉撒路也受過苦.如今他在這裏得安慰、你倒受痛苦。
      [lb5] 亞伯拉罕說︰『孩子,你該回想你一生受盡了你的美物,而拉撒路也照樣受盡了禍患﹔如今他在這里得慰藉,你倒受慘苦了!
      [nb5] 亞伯拉罕說:‘孩子,你應該回想你生前享過福,同樣拉撒路受過苦,現在他在這裡得安慰,你卻要受苦了。
      [asv] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things: but now here he is comforted and thou art in anguish.
      [kjv] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
      [bbe] But Abraham said, Keep in mind, my son, that when you were living, you had your good things, while Lazarus had evil things: but now, he is comforted and you are in pain.
  16:26 [hb5] 不但這樣、並且在你我之間、有深淵限定、以致人要從這邊過到你們那邊、是不能的、要從那邊過到我們這邊、也是不能的。
      [lb5] 況且在一切之中、在我們和你們之間、還有個大空隙立著呢,叫那些想要從這邊些邊過去到你們那邊的、無能為力﹔人也不能從那邊越過來到我們這邊。』
      [nb5] 不但這樣,我們與你們之間,有深淵隔開,人想從這邊過到你們那裡是不可能的,從那邊過到我們這邊也是不可能的。’
      [asv] And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that they that would pass from hence to you may not be able, and that none may cross over from thence to us.
      [kjv] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
      [bbe] And in addition, there is a deep division fixed between us and you, so that those who might go from here to you are not able to do so, and no one may come from you to us.
  16:27 [hb5] 財主說、我祖阿、既是這樣、求你打發拉撒路到我父家去.
      [lb5] 財主說︰『我祖阿,既然如此,就求你打發拉撒路到我父家去﹔
      [nb5] 那人說:‘我祖啊,那麼求你差遣拉撒路到我家裡去,
      [asv] And he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house;
      [kjv] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
      [bbe] And he said, Father, it is my request that you will send him to my father's house;
  16:28 [hb5] 因為我還有五個弟兄.他可以對他們作見證、免得他們也來到這痛苦的地方。
      [lb5] 因為我有五個弟兄﹔他可以鄭重警告他們,免得他們也來到這苦痛的地方阿。』
      [nb5] 因為我有五個兄弟,他可以警告他們,免得他們也到這受苦的地方來。’
      [asv] for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
      [kjv] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
      [bbe] For I have five brothers; and let him give them an account of these things, so that they may not come to this place of pain.
  16:29 [hb5] 亞伯拉罕說、他們有摩西和先知的話、可以聽從。
      [lb5] 亞伯拉罕說︰『他們有摩西和神言人,讓他們聽他們吧。』
      [nb5] 亞伯拉罕說:‘他們有摩西和先知可以聽從。’
      [asv] But Abraham saith, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
      [kjv] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
      [bbe] But Abraham said, They have Moses and the prophets; let them give ear to what they say.
  16:30 [hb5] 他說、我祖亞伯拉罕哪、不是的.若有一個從死裏復活的、到他們那裏去的、他們必要悔改。
      [lb5] 他說︰『我祖亞伯拉罕哪,不是的﹔若有人從死人中往他們那里去,他們就會悔改的。』
      [nb5] 他說:‘不然,我祖亞伯拉罕啊,如果有人從死人中復活,到他們那裡去,他們必定會悔改。’
      [asv] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.
      [kjv] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
      [bbe] And he said, No, father Abraham, but if someone went to them from the dead, their hearts would be changed.
  16:31 [hb5] 亞伯拉罕說、若不聽從摩西和先知的話、就是有一個從死裏復活的、他們也是不聽勸。
      [lb5] 亞伯拉罕對他說︰『他們若不聽摩西和神言人,就使有一個從死人中復起了,他們還是不確信的。』」
      [nb5] 亞伯拉罕說:‘如果他們不聽從摩西和先知,就算有一個從死人中復活的人,他們也不會接受勸告。’”
      [asv] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.
      [kjv] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
      [bbe] And he said to him, If they will not give attention to Moses and the prophets, they will not be moved even if someone comes back from the dead.
