伊索寓言：The Mole and His Mother小鼴鼠和媽媽 

A MOLE, a creature blind from birth, once said to his Mother: "I am sure than I can see, Mother!" In the desire to prove to him his mistake, his Mother placed before him a few grains of frankincense, and asked, "What is it?' The young Mole said, "It is a pebble." His Mother exclaimed: "My son, I am afraid that you are not only blind, but that you have lost your sense of smell. 傳說鼴鼠的眼睛是瞎的，可小鼴鼠卻對媽媽說他能看得見。媽想試驗他一下，便拿來一小塊香噴噴的食物，放在他面前，並問他是什麼。他說是一顆小石頭。母親說：“啊，不幸的孩子，你不但眼睛看不見，連鼻子也沒用了。” 這故事是說，那些愛吹牛說大話的人，常常誇海口能做大事，卻在一些微不足道的事情上暴露了本質。
